Creative Check-In

A little encouragement, a fresh perspective and someone to help you get things done.

Have you got a project you’ve been meaning to start, an idea that’s lost momentum, or something important that keeps slipping down your to-do list?

Creative Check-In is a friendly, practical one-to-one service to help you organise your thoughts, explore ideas, work through challenges and take manageable steps towards your goals.

Whether you’re pursuing a creative hobby, developing a professional project or working towards a personal ambition, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.

Not sure if it’s for you? Book a free 15-minute introductory chat. We can talk about what you’re working on, what kind of support would be useful, and whether Creative Check-In is a good fit.

What could we work on?

There’s no particular kind of project you need to bring to Creative Check-In. You might be:

  • Starting something new but struggling to find the time or confidence to begin.
  • Feeling overwhelmed by competing ideas, responsibilities or unfinished tasks.
  • Developing a business idea, event, community initiative or personal project.
  • Working on a creative hobby, from writing and music to gardening or making things.
  • Looking for a sounding board to help you make decisions.
  • Wanting a little structure and accountability to keep moving forward.

You don’t need a finished plan or a clear destination. Sometimes the first step is simply working out what you’d like to do.

How does it work?

Creative Check-In is a relaxed, one-to-one conversation focused on whatever you’re working towards.

We’ll talk about where you are now, what you’d like to achieve and anything that’s making progress difficult. Together, we can explore possibilities, identify priorities and agree on some realistic next steps.

You can book a single session whenever you need a fresh perspective, or arrange regular check-ins to help maintain momentum.

One-off Check-In

A chance to untangle your thoughts, explore options and leave with a clearer idea of what to do next.

Fortnightly Check-Ins

Regular encouragement and accountability to help you stay focused, celebrate progress and work through new challenges.

Monthly Check-Ins

A little structure and a regular opportunity to reflect, review your priorities and plan your next steps.

There’s no obligation to commit to a series of sessions. You can choose whatever works best for you.

A little about me

I’m Bella Hardy, a musician, creative director, and project manager with over twenty years’ experience developing ideas and making things happen.

Alongside my work as a professional musician, I’ve managed large-scale arts and learning programmes, run my own businesses, and developed community projects and events. I’ve led on fundraising, reporting, evaluation, partnerships, production, label management, and creative endeavours from the first idea sparks to final applause. I’ve experienced the excitement of starting something new, the challenges of working independently, and the difficulty of finding time and focus when life is busy.

I enjoy helping people explore their ideas, find practical solutions and make progress towards things that matter to them.

Creative Check-In brings together that experience with a friendly, down-to-earth approach. I’m not here to tell you what you should be doing, but to help you work out what you’d like to do, and how to make it happen.

A few questions you might have

Do I need to be an artist or work in a creative profession?

Not at all. Creative Check-In is for anyone working towards a project, idea or personal goal. You don’t need any particular background or experience.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want to achieve?

That’s absolutely fine. Sometimes talking things through is the best way to work out where to begin.

Do I have to book regular sessions?

No. You’re welcome to book a one-off conversation, or arrange fortnightly or monthly check-ins if you’d find ongoing support useful.

Is this counselling or therapy?

No. Creative Check-In is practical project support, encouragement and accountability, rather than a therapeutic service.

Can I try it before booking a full session?

Yes! You’re very welcome to book a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory conversation so we can meet and see whether the service is right for you.

Ready to get something moving?

Whether you’ve got a clear plan or just the beginnings of an idea, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
